Masks now required again at the OMV!

With Covid-19 cases on the raise again in Louisiana due to the delta variant, the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles issued an update to its Covid safety protocols.

Beginning today (July 26, 2021) masks or face comings will be required inside all Louisiana OMV locations.

If you forget your mask or do not have one available, one will be provided, but it must be worn. They will also be asking visitors to remain socially distanced and adhere to covid mitigation protocols – maintaining 6 feet of distance from others at the OMV. It is also recommended that customers use the free LA Wallet when possible and utilize electronic means of oppositions to reduce in person contact as much as possible. The LA Wallet app allows some customers an opportunity to duplicate a driver’s license or renew their current license. You can also visit www.expresslane.org for information on completing other transactions online before you make any unnecessary trips to the  OMV office.
