If you’re online and noticing some connection issues or the inability to access major websites like CNN or the entire government page in the UK, you aren’t alone. A major cloud storage system is down causing outages of many websites including The New York Times, CNN, Twitch, The Guardian, Pinterest, Reddit, Spotify, Hulu and more.
The problem seems to originated with a cloud service provider known as Fastly. Early this morning the Fastly company website mentioned that it identified the problem and had fixed the issue — but many sites were still unavailable for users at 6a.m. this morning.
