Dollar General announced they will not only be closing an hour early to allow staff time to restock shelves and to sanitize the store, but they have also dedicated their first hour of operation to seniors citizens who need to get their shopping done.
They are asking younger shoppers to hold off on their shopping for the first hour to give seniors a chance to get in and out without having to cross paths with as many from a possibly more social demographic.
Dollar General says it is dedicating the first hour in its more than 16,000 stores to help senior shoppers “avoid busier and more crowded shopping periods.” https://t.co/4vl3Il4zaI

Local store hours will vary, it might be a good idea to call before you go.
